Officers with the neighbourhood policing team and representatives of Melton Borough Council issued a Section 8 Misuse Drugs Act Warning to a resident on Drummond Walk yesterday (Thursday).

A spokesperson for the Melton town north beat team said: “Issuing a notice such as this one to a vulnerable tenant allows us to offer them the appropriate support and can facilitate other agencies to get involved, in an effort to stop the drug activity happening at the address.

“The beat team will continue to crack down on the supply and use of drugs in the area, but we need the public’s help to bring offenders to justice.”

Police are urging anyone to report any information known about the supply of drugs by calling them on 101, or via their Facebook or Twitter accounts.

Suspicious activity or information can also be reported anonymously via Crime Stoppers online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org or over the phone on 0800 555111.
