Emergency services on the scene after vehicle crashes into building in Melton

Emergency services were deployed this morning (Monday) after a vehicle went into a building in a residential street in Melton.

Three people were trapped inside after the vehicle ended up on its side, in Gartree Court, at 9.19am.

An air ambulance attended, along with firefighters from Melton and a technical rescue team from the city’s Southern station.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service said: “The ambulance service requested the fire service attend to a single vehicle road traffic collisionn into a building.

“One vehicle involved was on its side on the driveway and three people were stuck in it,

“Police and air ambulance were in attendance and doctors were assessing the casualties.”
