Company director from Melton appears in court over alleged fraud and forgery offences

A company director from Melton charged with fraud offences totalling more than £5 million appeared at Grantham Magistrates’ Court today (Monday, February 9).

Alan Chandler, also known as Mark Lamb, of Torrance Drive, is charged with six offences of fraud by false representation, two charges of using a false instrument with intent it be accepted as genuine, one charge of fraud by abuse of position and one charge of theft by employee.

Lincolnshire Police said the charges concerned Mr Chandler’s alleged conduct as a director of Soleil Holdings Ltd and associated companies. All of the alleged offences happened in Stamford between August 1, 2008 and February 13, 2013.

Mr Chandler gave no indication of pleas when he appeared before Grantham magistrates today. He’s due to appear at Lincoln Crown Court on Monday, February 23, and remains on unconditional bail.
