Budget supermarket, Aldi, has confirmed it still plans to build a new store in Melton but it cannot provide a date for when work will begin.
Melton Council approved proposals for the business to build on the site of the former ambulance station in Leicester Road a year ago.
Some of the ambulance buildings have been demolished recently, but there has been no sign of any building work beginning on the new store.
A spokesperson for Aldi said: “It will all still be going ahead in Melton but we can’t say exactly when at this stage.
“We are still in the process of finalising a few things at the site before we can start work on the new store.”
