A member of staff at a Melton rural clothing and supplies store has been shortlisted for a prestigious national award.

Andrea Leavis is one of five contenders for the Harry Hall Retail Employee of the Year category in the 2015 British Equestrian Trade Association (BETA) Business Awards.

She will find out if she has won when the awards are handed out at a gal a dinner at the National Motorcycle Museum near Birmingham on Sunday.

Finalists were all nominated for the 12 award categories by their customers or peers within the equestrian trade.

BETA executive director Claire Williams said: “The awards are an eagerly awaited event in the industry calendar with a trade-only audience of friends and colleagues.”
