AN open weekend to celebrate the launch of a five star luxury touring and camping park at Eye Kettleby Lakes will take place in April.
The adults-only park, based at the family run fishery, was part funded by a Defra grant and supports up to 47 tents and caravans at any one time.
The free open event will take place on Saturday, April 6 from 6.30pm and will include a hog roast and live jazz band.
Owned by Martin and Joyce Lomas with their son Joe and his wife Lizzy, Eye Kettleby Lakes has been running for over 20 years.
The site is also supported by general manager Craig Oldham.
Set in 150 acres of countryside, the site has eight fishing lakes and accommodation also includes 12 luxury log cabins with private hot tubs.
The brand new touring and camping site includes individual heated toilet and shower facilities, laundry and indoor washing up sinks and free wireless internet.
The facility is also pet friendly and is open all year round.
Joe Lomas said: “We want to stress that the site is not just for those who enjoy fishing but also a good location close to many tourist hotspots for couples to enjoy as well.”
