Brooksby Hall's Christmas fair tickets go on sale

A winter wonderland with endless festive fun for the whole family will be the magical star attraction at Brooksby Hall's Christmas fair.

Other stand-out attractions that have been organised include ice skating, Santa’s Grotto, Christmas market stalls, and a food and drinks hall.

The event takes place on Saturday, November 26 and Sunday 27. There will be a free shuttle bus from Melton to Brooksby Hall every 30 minutes.

A spokesperson for the event said: “The Christmas fair is great for children and you can book them a place to meet and talk to Santa in his Grotto.

“They can also have their photo taken with him and he’ll even give them a high quality, age specific, early Christmas present, all for just £10 per child.

“Mrs Claus will also be in the Grotto handing out reindeer dust for children to sprinkle on their lawns on Christmas Eve.

“Families can enjoy spending time on 15m x 10m ice skating rink, and you can even pose for a photo memento. For £7.50 each you will get a full 30 minute session on the ice, the perfect way to work up an appetite before visiting the festive food and drinks hall.

“The food and drinks hall will be serving a whole host of tasty treats from pretzels to roast turkey, and stuffing rolls to mulled cider and mince pies.

“Brooksby Church will be open and the Christmas Choir will perform traditional carols at intervals throughout the event. The Salvation Army Brass Band will also make a guest appearance on the Saturday.

“For adults, there will be a Spooky Twilight Ghost Walk around Brooksby Hall at 5pm on the Saturday, where you can hear all about the haunted history. This activity is £20 and includes a traditional meal of bangers and mash.”

Booking for the Santa’s Grotto experience is essential as places are limited.

Tickets for Brooksby Hall’s Christmas Fair can be purchased online at www.brooksbyhall.co.uk or they can be bought on the day.

Admission is £3 for adults and £2.50 for children. The event is from 10am to 4pm both days.
