Artist auctions painting for Melton Lions' charities

Brian Hodder donated his work of art to the club at their charity auction held recently at Melton Golf Club.

Proceeds from the fundraiser, which totalled £6,500, will be awarded to local charities supported by the Lions. Brian said: “Once again this golf event was organised by the hard-working Derek Whitehouse and his Lions colleagues, as it has been now for over 20 years.

“Fortunately Derek has been able to persuade many of our local businesses to make generous donations over this long period, and many Meltonians will have felt the benefit of all this charitable activity.”
