Melton families were invited to wear animal onesies to St Mary’s Church’s Noah’s Ark-themed activities morning on Saturday.

Both adults and children were asked to wear an animal onesie in keeping with the theme and activities included story telling, a chance to make animal hats and masks as well as making doves of peace.

There was also cake decorating, an animal quiz, giant games, together with chess and a chance to learn lacemaking.

Phil Balding, spokesman for the church said: “Members of Melton Fire Station came along and demonstrated how to rescue people from water. Visitor numbers were slightly down but everyone who came along had a great time.”
