Melton people who would like to get fitter while exploring the county this winter can access a series of walking guides made available by Leicestershire County Council.
The council has put together a list of strolls, including existing, new and revised routes, for people to explore.
Highlights include ‘Strolls on your doorstep’ - a series of guides outlining easy-access short walks in the Melton, Harborough, Loughborough, Hinckley, Coalville and west and south Leicester areas.
Peter Osborne, county council cabinet member for highways and transport, said: “Most people in Leicestershire live within 500 metres of a footpath or bridleway.
“We have some wonderful countryside in the county and we encourage people to make the most of the crisp winter days by exploring what’s on their doorstep, as well as something further afield.”
