The latest activities morning in St Mary’s Church, Melton, on Saturday, proved a real birthday treat for children.
The event fell on the eve of the birthday of the church - Pentecost - so there was a huge birthday party in the church to celebrate.
Acitivities included a mini-disco, party games, jelly and ice cream, face painting and Hattie the clown visited to blow some giant bubbles and do some balloon modelling.
The next Saturday activities morning is on June 11, from 10.30am to 1pm. It will be a street party inside the venue to celebrate the Queen’s official 90th birthday.
Star attractions are set to include a military dog display by members of the Defence Animal Centre and a dance demonstration by a local swing group.
