Pupils learn about Tanzanian culture

A TEACHER from Tanzania has visited Redmile Primary School to widen children’s knowledge and understanding of different cultures.

Siad Ally from Pombwe Primary School talked to pupils and staff about teaching and learning in his country.

Julie Hopkins, Redmile headteacher, said: “Mr Ally was fascinated by the technology and resources we use to educate pupils and he took home with him two English books from the school for his family.

“His English was excellent and the children were fascinated by the fact that his pupils have to travel by canoe to get to school.”
