Knossington and Somerby Pre-School, which operates in Knossington Village Hall, is encouraging parents to enrole their children this autumn.

The pre-school prides itself on its outdoor learning and wants children to take advantage of some of the new opportunities it provides such as farm walks, blackberry picking, growing vegetables and feeding lambs.

Secretary and committee member Jennie Vanstone said: “Here at Knossington and Somerby Pre-School, outdoor learning is at the heart of everything we do.

“We’re extremely privileged to have strong links with The Learning Farm in Owston, and Stone Lodge Farm in Halstead, where we frequently visit during the summer months.

“Pond dipping, fishing, mini beast and badger hunts are just some of the fun activities we do, and of course the children loved climbing bales of hay and making the most imaginative dens with sticks and leaves.

“We offer children the best start in life, preparing them for school as happy and confident individuals.”
