A total of 105 Melton employees enjoyed a congratulatory day at Leicester Races with 77 staff receiving awards for 10 years’ service, 26 receiving awards for 15 years, and two recognised for 20 years service. Staff from all four Melton businesses - Kettleby Foods, Melton Foods, Brooksby Foods and Dickinson & Morris - were represented at the events.

Paul Davey, Samworth Brothers’ group executive director, said: “We are delighted to be hosting so many long service celebrations again in 2016.

“Around half of our employees have been with the company for more than five years and we have many individuals who have been with the business for 20 years and more. It’s very important to us that we can offer long-term opportunities and job stability.”
