Huge success for Melton's first Trade Fair
Scores of businesses turned out for the first Melton Trade Fair.
Some 27 businesses showcased their products and services in displays throughout Market Place.
They demonstrated excellence in a range of enterprises from start-ups and independents to long established giants of commerce.
Afterwards organisers said they were delighted with the reaction to the first Melton Trade Fair.
And they say following on from its success, it is planned to stage the Trade Fair again next year.
Shelagh Core, manager of Melton BID, said: “The feedback so far has been fantastic.
“It was a great opportunity for business people to come down and see the range of products and services on offer in Melton and also to network with other business people.
“Many reported they had picked up new business on the day.
She added: “Those running independent business can find themselves isolated and the Trade Fair was a great way for them to meet other business people.
The Trade Fair was an opportunity for one start-up - Forget-me-not Vintage Crockery - to launch itself.
Ms Core said: “The Trade Fair showcased the best of Melton business.
“I was really pleased with the way it went and we will definitely hold the Trade Fair again next year.
“We want to build and grow this event.
