Full steam ahead for models and miniatures weekend at Stapleford
Stapleford Miniature Railway is opening its base to the public this weekend (June 11 and 12), supporting Leicestershire and Rutland hospice Loros.
The free admission event, held over both days, invites people to take a trip on Stapleford’s magnificent ten- and-a-quarter inch gauge miniature railway as well as enjoying other attractions.
There will be at least 26 miniature traction engines, as well as a couple of full size traction engines, and three locos in steam plus a diesel. Train tickets will be £2 per trip. Free car parking will be provided.
