Absolutely Fabulous (15) Twenty-four years after Eddy (Saunders) and Patsy (Lumley) first tottered onto our screens, Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie arrives. In the face of a media firestorm after an attempt to schmooze Kate Moss goes spectacularly awry, PR agent Eddy and magazine editor Patsy escape to their spiritual home – the French Riviera. Thankfully, their luxurious new lifestyle doesn’t prevent us getting reacquainted with the show’s old favourites, plus there are A-list cameos aplenty – everyone from legends such as Dame Joan Collins and Jerry Hall to fashion designer Stella McCartney and X-Factor star Rylan – which help make this a comedy cocktail brighter than a Tequila Sunrise. Today at 6pm and 8.30pm, Friday at 8.30pm, Saturday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 6pm and Monday and Thursday at 8.30pm.

Ghostbusters (12A) The reboot of 1984’s mega cult comedy Ghostbusters sets itself a very high bar, but starring Bridesmaids’ Kristen Wiig and The Heat’s Melissa McCarthy – with their regular director Paul Feig at the helm – it’s clearly destined for success. The all-female Ghostbusters team is headed by authors Abby (McCarthy) and Erin (Wiig), who were laughed out of academia after publishing a book claiming that ghosts really do exist. They are proved right when evil apparitions appear across New York City. The pair must join forces with aspiring paranormal investigators Patty (Leslie Jones) and Jillian (McKinnon) to save the world from the phantoms as well as a powerful demon known as Rowan. Patty provides the pimped-up Cadillac hearse essential to their task. The team are determined to deal with this outbreak of strange spectres, and we can revel in the riotous consequences. Friday, Monday and Thursday at 6pm, Saturday at 3.30pm and 8.15pm, Sunday at 4pm, Tuesday at 8.15pm and Wednesday at 3.30pm and 8.15pm.
