Business in Barnstone lends support to community festival
Tarmac’s Barnstone Cement Works has announced it will host a Gymkhana Fun Day on its adjacent field in aid of Nottinghamshire Riding for the Disabled Association on Saturday, June 18.
The Gymkhana Fun Day will mark the start of the festival followed by an informative tour of the businesses site on the Sunday.

Hide AdChris Stephens, plant manager at Barnstone Cement Works, said: “We are looking forward to being involved again in this festival which was a huge success last year. The festival is a great way to bring people together from the local community and we’re pleased to be supporting the Riding for the Disabled to help them continue their excellent work.”
The festival which is in its third year will feature a range of events to suit all ages and interests including Langar C of E Primary School’s PTA summer fayre, Barnstone ceilidh and quiz evening, a classic car rally, butterfly walk, history trek, hobby day, ballroom dancing, a treasure hunt and a wheelbarrow trail.
