Organisers of the third Hillfest music festival are expecting big crowds to this years inaugural event.

The festival is taking place at Holwell Sports Football Ground at Asfordby Hill, on Saturday.

This year’s line up features seven live bands including headline act Kaiser Thiefs, Blurb, Picto Mexico, Monochrome Empire, Cocked n Loaded, Reckless and The Veltones.

Gates open at noon and the music starts at 3pm. Food and drink are available as well as other attractions for the whole family.

Tickets are £15 for adults and £5 for children, with a family ticket (two adults and two children) £35. They can be purchased from the website, The Stute on Asfordby Hill, The Noels Arms or Angie’s cafe on Leicester Road Industrial Estate.

The organisers report it has already been the busiest pre event sales, therefore to avoid disappointment it best to order in advance.

This year the festival has introduced free camping. However, booking is essential to reserve a place.

For more information and to book tickets visit http://www.hillfest.org.uk or https://www.facebook.com/pages/Hillfest

All proceeds from the festival will go to Loros (the Leicestershire and Rutland Organisation for the Relief of Suffering).
