The UK Theatre Awards are the only nationwide awards to honour outstanding achievement in theatre throughout the UK. The awards are supported by Smooth Radio, UK Theatre Insurance, White Light, Theatre Tokens, John Good and Harbottle & Lewis.

UK Theatre chief executive Julian Bird said: “Theatres throughout the UK play a crucial role in the heart of our communities and continue to thrive despite the challenging financial climate.

“This award gives audiences a platform to show how much their venue means to them and celebrate the hard work of everyone who helps make a theatre run.”

Melton Theatre co-ordinator Michael Harris-Wakelam said: “We’re thrilled that we’re again nominated for the UK Theatre Awards’ Most Welcoming Theatre. It’s the third year running we’ve been nominated but we need as many votes as possible.”
