The competition, with a top cash prize and a coveted trophy, is being organised by the Vale of Belvoir Rotary Club to support its good causes. Auditions will be held on October 1 and 2 at the Royal British Legion, Radcliffe-on-Trent.

Those who wish to participate should complete an application form as soon as possible or call Duncan Garment on 01949 861770 or Denis Bacon on 01159 334004.

The semi-finals will be held on Friday, October 21 and Friday, November 18 at The Grange Hall, Radcliffe-on-Trent, at 7pm.

The finals will be held on Friday, December 2 at the same location and time.

The contest is being sponsored by Spire Nottingham Hospital and is supported by Whetherspoons, The Buttercross, Bingham.
