Melton Museum’s programme of summer activities for children starts on Tuesday.
Each week throughout the school holidays there will be a different theme with things to make and trails around the gallery. It opens with Amazing Archaeology until Saturday, July 18 which includes Anglo Saxon doll making and metal detecting.
From July 21 to 25 the theme is Under The Sea, which includes making a watery window clinger and finding pirate loot.
From July 28 to August 1 the theme is Who Dunnit? This entails making finger print badges and who dunnit photo fits.
Dinosaurs is the theme from August 4 to 8, and this includes decorating a dinosaur egg and making dinosaur masks.
The theme from August 11 to 15 is Use Your Senses, where children can make shapes from wire and wool, see the optical illusions and try out their touch and smell skills.
From August 18 to 22 the theme is Back To School, which includes book worm making and finger puppets.
Drop in during the museum opening hours of Tuesday to Saturday 10am until 4.30pm.
