Bridget Jones’s Baby (15)

Twelve years since The Edge Of Reason reprised the incredible success of Bridget Jones’s Diary, Renée Zellweger makes her third appearance as the delightfully ditzy singleton. After recently splitting up with Mark Darcy (Firth), her enduring admirer from the first two romantic comedies, Ms Jones now maintains that she’s both happy and finally in control of her life – until, that is, a handsome American, Jack Qwant (Dempsey, long-term star of TV’s Grey’s Anatomy), sweeps her off her feet. And then, rather inconveniently, she finds herself pregnant and unsure whether Mark or Jack is the father. It’s an uneasy dilemma for the somewhat reluctantly grown-up Bridget, who must also decide who she would want the father to be. Friday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday at 6pm and 8.45pm, Saturday at 3.15pm, 6pm and 8.45pm, Sunday at 5pm and 7.45pm, Tuesday at 2pm, 5pm and 7.45pm.

Pete’s Dragon (PG)

This live-action remake of Disney’s animated 1977 fable begins with cheery old woodsman Mr Meacham (Redford) telling stories of a forest-dwelling dragon. His forest-ranger daughter Grace (Howard) dismisses them as whimsy until she meets ten-year-old Pete (Fegley), an orphan who claims his best friend is a green dragon called Elliott. Grace then sets out to determine the truth and spare Elliott from capture by her money-grubbing uncle in this beguilingly suspenseful tale. Sunday at 2.30pm.
