A popular comedian, christened by The Telegraph as the comedy voice of the Baby Boom Generation, returns to Scalford this weekend for a fund-raising show.
Mervyn Stutter performs his new show of comedy and song Utterly Stutterly at the village hall on Saturday evening (7.30pm).
Stutter is an actor, scriptwriter, comedian and songwriter, and most recently wrote and starred in his own BBC Radio 4 comedy Getting Nowhere Fast.
He has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for 27 successive years – earning him the nickname The Fringe Overlord – and has become widely respected on the circuit.
Proceeds will go towards urgent roof repairs at Scalford Methodist Church.
Doors for the show open at 7pm and the bar will be open. Tickets are £12 and available from Avril on (01664) 444639 or Sue on (01664) 410684.
