Uppingham Chapel Choir and Chamber Orchestra performance in Melton sent '˜tingles down the spine'
Next followed “Spring” from the Four Seasons by Vivaldi. The soloist was Richard Liu who gave a masterful performance along with the Chamber Orchestra. Francesca Moorehead treated everyone with her soprano voice using the church acoustics to the full in singing the Exsultate Jubilate by Mozart.
After the interval the audience were treated to the “Coronation Mass” also by Mozart. This lesser known mass was brilliantly sung by the full Chapel Choir, giving solo platforms to soloists Sophie Bellamy, Francesca Moorehead, Rosina Griffiths, William Playle-de Vries, Nicholas Hollands, and Theo Wilson who all gave excellent contributions.

Audience members were full of praise for the excellent performances and thoroughly enjoyed their evening.
The concert was arranged by the Rotary Club of Melton Mowbray in conjunction with Uppingham School to raise funds towards the ongoing Rotary Projects in the Philippines and other charities supported by Rotary.
At the end of the evening, I thanked the school for their continued support of the project through coming to Melton and giving audiences such excellent entertainment.
