A handful of tickets remain on sale to see Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff’s debut stage tour early next month at Melton Theatre.

The talismanic former England all-rounder is road-testing a new live show with TV comedy producer, writer and podcast partner-in-crime, Clyde Holcroft.

Freddie Flintoff: 2nd Innings brings to the stage the pair’s hit podcast. Hear the behind-the-scenes truth of the infamous Ashes traffic-stopping bus tour as well as Freddie’s Guinness world record-breaking marathons for Sport Relief.

They may even get round to discussing cricket as the Ashes return this summer and Freddie celebrates 10 years since the thrilling 2005 victory.

The show visits Melton on Saturday, May 2, at 8pm, and all tickets are £10.

* Sunday brings high culture as the Vienna Festival Ballet 35th Anniversary Gala comes to Melton Theatre (3pm).

The company present highlights from the world’s most beloved Tchaikovsky ballets which have featured in their repertoire over the past 35 years including the Dance of the Cygnets from Swan Lake, Clara’s journey to a glittering land of snow in The Nutcracker, and the famous Rose Adagio from Sleeping Beauty.

Tickets cost £17 (adults), £16 (OAPs), and £15 (children).
