Melton's St Mary's Church members to hand out pancakes on Shrove Tuesday
Members of St Mary's Church, Melton, will be handing out pancakes at the farmers market on Scalford Road on Shrove Tuesday (February 28).
The event, which takes place from 9am to 10.30am, is part of an initiative by the Generous Giving Team in the Leicester Diocese to mark the beginning of the season of Lent, encouraging people to give unconditionally.
The team will also be giving everyone a postcard with an invitation to be thankful for the good things in their lives.
