Jo Frederick, who is leading the project, is currently fundraising to raise money for new play equipment and is working with Melton Borough Council to create the exciting outdoor art exhibition.

The project hopes to bring more visitors to the play area and to raise awareness of the parks hidden location off Baldocks Lane. If you’re interested in taking part and would like more information call Jo on 07522 697464 or email littlejowalters@hotmail.com

Sam Kitson, cultural health project worker for Melton Council, said: “This is a great way for the local community to be a part of an exciting outdoor art exhibition. We hope that over the next few months people will visit the park to look at the artwork and then use it more regularly.

The yarnbombing art exhibition will be up for a few months from the end of March at the Baldocks Lane play area on Baldocks Lane off Burton Road. For further details call Sam on 07786 691505 or email skitson@melton.gov.uk
