Musical Mayhem will be the theme of the latest fun-packed activities morning at Melton’s St Mary’s Church.
The free event on Saturday, coincides with this year’s Last Night of the Proms concert at London’s Royal Albert Hall and so a rousing chorus of Land of Hope and Glory will be played on the organ by the church’s musical director James Gutteridge.
Other activities feature bellringing, arts and crafts, cake decorating and a children’s anagram trail.
There will also be the chance to play musical instruments including the kazoo and swanee whistle.
For those who prefer to take their day a little steadier there’ll be the option to sit and read the day’s newspapers and chat over a cup of tea or coffee and a piece of cake.
Events run from 10.30am to noon.
