Melton Mowbray Town Estate has organised a host of activities for all to enjoy later this month as part of ‘Love Your Parks’ week.

People of all ages are invited to enjoy and discover the town centre parks on Saturday, July 25 and there will be a band concert in New Park on Sunday, July 26, 2.45pm-4.30pm. Refreshments will be available.

Other dates and activities include:

Monday, July 27 - Sporting facilities in Wilton Park, including tennis and five-a-side football, will be free all day to visitors. Book at the Pavilion Cafe to avoid disappointment.

Tuesday, July 28 - Learn more about the trees in the parks by joining the tree walk. Meet at the bandstand in New Park at 2pm.

Wednesday, July 29 - Sporting facilities in Wilton Park, including tennis and five-a-side football, will be free all day to visitors. Book at the Pavilion Cafe to avoid disappointment.

Thursday, July 30 - Learn more about the trees in the parks by joining the tree walk (different walk from Tuesday). Meet at the bandstand in New Park at 2pm.

Friday, July 31 - Teddy bears’ picnic in Wilton Park. This free event will be held from 2pm to 4pm. Bring a teddy and a picnic for an afternoon of fun and games. Activities will include a bouncy castle, get the football past the goalie game, races, kite flying, train rides, poster colouring and lots more.

Saturday, August 1 - Enjoy and discover the town centre parks.
