A wine and canapes evening has been organised at St Mary Magdalene Church in Waltham on the Wolds tomorrow.
The event has been organised to mark the launch of a unique flagstone appeal which coincides with church renovation plans and there will be the chance to see how work is progressing.
The Flagstone Appeal is part of an ongoing project to refurbish the Grade One listed building - to make it safe, accessible and more convenient for use.
The renovation will see the floor to the west platform being levelled and relaid as well as a new servery and toilet.
There will be open space in front of the west entrance created by relocating the front and removing some pews.
Visitors have the opportunity to buy one or more of around 300 new Ancaster slabs to be laid, and have their name or the recipient of the gift recorded for posterity.
Flagstones cost £50 and all gifts will be acknowledged with an attractive gift certificate showing the slabs location. The event tomorrow runs from 7-8.30pm and all are welcome to attend.
