Creative youngsters have had a spring in their step this week making sun catchers during a half-term event at Melton Carnegie Museum.

The activity, which is running until Saturday (10am-4pm), costs £2.50 per child. There’s also a trail around the museum and other activities for youngsters to do.

Museum support officer Katie Bluett said: “It has gone really well. The children have been really enthusiastic. We had 12 taking part on the first day who made some lovely sun catchers which they took home with them. It’s a really family friendly event and we’ve had grown-ups joining in as well.”

There’s no need to book - just pop into the museum. For more details call (0116) 3053860.
