Chance to peek inside the archive at Melton Carnegie Museum

People interested in local history will get a rare chance to see inside the archive at Melton Carnegie Museum next weekend.

On Saturday the archive will be opened to the public and there will be a chance to browse the old photographs, maps, documents and more from the museum collections.

Experts from the museum and borough village history groups will be on hand to answer questions and offer advice and guidance on research including online resources.

History author Derek Simmonds will also be on hand to share his knowledge and will have a selection of his books for sale.
