The eighth annual brass spectacular charity concert comes to Melton Theatre on Saturday (7.30pm).

The joint show between the Melton Band and Leicester-based Forresters Brass 2000 is in aid of Marie Curie Care Leicestershire, Rutland and Lincolnshire (Rapid Response and Planned Services).

A varied programme will feature music from the shows, the charts, light entertainment, comedy numbers, the odd traditional march and some popular singalongs.

Musical directors Graham Sutton (Melton Band) and Jack Capstaff (Forresters) have worked hard to devise a programme to keep the audience on their toes.

The evening will culminate with a rousing massed band finale.

Organiser Linda Jackson said: “This year the concert is in aid of Marie Curie Care, a very worthwhile cause.

“We are hoping to raise about £2,000 so please come along and support it.”

Tickets for the event are £8, and are available at the box office on (01664) 851111.
