The UK’s largest cheese fair will return for its sixth year in 2016 when the Artisan Cheese Fair once again takes place in Melton.

The event, to be held at the cattle market on Scalford Road from April 30 to May 1, 10am to 4pm, is expected to attract thousands of cheese-lovers who will be able to taste and buy some of the UK’s rarest and most popular artisan cheeses.

Entry is just £3 per person. Visitors can learn about cheese in the daily programme of talks, demonstrations and tastings by industry experts, as well as enjoying other local produce such as pies, wine, cakes, cider and Melton Mowbray’s famous Pork Pies.

Event organiser Matthew O’Callaghan said: “The Artisan Cheese Fair continues to grow in size and quality of experience for local, regional and national visitors. With plans for more exhibitors, offering more types of cheese than ever, next year’s event will be the largest of its type in the UK.”
