Organisers of Knipfest publicize event overseas
Committee members John Copley and Phil Noon, purchased a car for less than £200 and travelled 1,000 miles to and from Normandy Beaches, on the anniversary of The D-Day Landings (June 5).
The pair were joined by Phil Brittan, a member of band Crazy Ape and Ian Potter of RSI Body and Paint Repairs in Grantham.

Knipfest is taking place at Bevloir Cricket Club, at Knipton, on Saturday. It starts at 4pm and goes on until midnight.
Several top bands have been booked and Ultra 90s will headline the event.
Money raised at the festival will be donated to Cancer Research UK, St Barnabas Hospice in Grantham and the Dove Cottage Day Hospice in Stathern.
