Open day at Long Clawson's Pablo's Horse Sanctuary

A horse and pony rescue charity is holidng its annual open day on Sunday, August 28.

Pablo’s Horse Sanctuary is inviting people to come along to its main yard and stables, just off Waltham Lane in Long Clawson, from 12noon until 4pm.

The open day will have lots for everyone whether they simply like horses or have a keener interest. Visitors can meet some of the sanctuary’s residents, tour the yard and see the work by the charity.

The main attractions will be a live performance by Russ Hamer and guest, Skyla K9 Dog Training demo’s and Dr Ray Smith a back, muscle and joint specialist for humans and horses - will demonstrate how to check a saddle for its correct fitting and give advice on assessing the spines, legs and hearts of horses.

There will also be a tack stall, a sale of official merchandise, games, a raffle, a tombola, refreshments and bric-a-brac.

Entry to the event costs £2 for adults and children under 16 are free.
