Melton Gig Guide: July 7 to 12 - Melton Times

Time for a singing lesson on Friday evening as the Noels Arms will come alive with the sound of music.

The landlady will take to the stage flanked by her bessies and the ever popular Andy Lamb.

The Genny B will be going Underground with DJ Chris on Friday.

This new bi-monthly disco night will include everything that’s not chart, non-commercial and non-cheese.

Chris’s set will be an electric mixture of indie, ska, rock, northern soul and funk.

Get your rock on at the Genny B on Saturday as Black Dragon will play hard hitting classic rock covers.

Rock steady beats are supplied by the ever versatile Steve (lord) Ward, guitarist Danny Coulton and bassist and vocalist Alistair Haggis.

Saturday sees Mojohand return to the Noels Arms. Stunning musicianship and great songs will be aplenty.

Their gig will have 50s style twanging, sliding guitar and honking tenor sax combined with a rock-solid driving rhythm section and two fine lead vocalists.

The Grapes host the TCB Duo (which means Taking Care of Business) on Saturday. Formed in January 2009, by Frankie Starr, he then brought his wife on board to share their musical talents.

Roadhouse hosts a Pump up the 90s event on Saturday. The evening will include dance music and classic hip hop sounds.

This is a journey not to be missed as you will be taken on a trip back to the glory days of club, rave and culture.

The Noels Arms provide a stage for Bianca and the Topcats to show off their talent on Sunday.

The Stamford based band provide audiences with a classic blend of blues based funk and soul with a contemporary twist.

Sunday sees the Sunday Acoustic Club gather at the Geese and Fountain in Croxton Kerrial. All are welcome to bring a song, instrument, a voice or just a pair of ears.
