Melton enjoys a taste of the seaside at town's beach party
For three days in succession hundreds of parents and kids got a taste of the seaside when the beach came to Melton last week.
The town’s Market Place was flooded with beach themed activities for kids on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday for Melton-by-the-Sea.
Similarly to previous years, a huge play day sandpit took centre stage for children to be able to scramble around in and sink into, and there were appropriately dressed pirates on hand to show children how to make sandcastles, and dig for buried treasure.
Other attractions included an inflatable bouncy castle slide, funfair rides, an ice-cream van, refreshment stands, seaside trail and competitions galore.
