Langar and Barnstone Festival's Gymkhana Fun Day rescheduled for September

Organisers of Langar and Barnstone Festival's Gymkhana Fun Day have said the event will be rescheduled after bad weather caused it to be postponed in June.

Tarmac’s Barnstone Cement Works, who were set to host a variety of attractions for families, to raise funds for Nottinghamshire Riding for the Disabled Association, have announced the event will now be held on Sunday, September 25.

The Gymkhana held in an adjacent field opposite the cement works was supposed to have an obstacle course, games and races for children, and informative tours of the businesses site.

In the meantime, Tarmac has made a donation to Belvoir Vale Riding for the Disbaled and hopes to raise further funds for Riding for the Disabled, in Colston Basset, after its September Gymkhana event.

Niki Heath, human resources officer at Barnstone Cement Works, said: “We’re pleased to make this donation to help and support the group to continue the excellent work they do with riding for all age groups and people with disabilities.

“We were disappointed not to be able to hold the event we had planned in June, but hope as many people as possible can attend and support it in September and help us raise even more for this worthy cause.”
