Harlaxton Manor to throw doors open to the public

There will be a rare opportunity to tour Harlaxton Manor this weekend

As it is a university campus, the Grade I listed building is usually closed to the public but its doors will be thrown open on Sunday.

Programme and events manager Simon Hawkes said: “As a busy working university campus, Harlaxton College is not able to open to the public regularly and therefore these opportunities to view the manor and grounds are quite rare.”

The manor will be open between 11am and 5pm. Admission is £8 for adults, £6 for senior citizens and £3 for children under 12. Refreshments will be available.
