Gardens open at Willoughby this weekend

The local Open Gardens season continues this weekend.

The Willoughby Waterleys plots are open to the public on Sunday, from 11am until 5pm, as part of the National Gardens Scheme.

Up to seven gardens are open. These include John’s Wood, which is a one and a half acre nature reserve planted to encourage wildlife, Church Lane Farms, which have colourful borders, roses and climbers, High Meadow, an ornamental vegetable garden, Kapalua, Orchard Road and Farmway.

Teas will be served in the village hall and the Norman Church will be open, hosting a film of the local bird population filmed by a local resident.

Combined admission is £4 for adults and free for children. For more information about opening hours call 01162 478321.
