Ten-year-old schoolboy Edward Pinder will be one of the star turns as the Big Top comes to Melton’s Play Close from today.
He is reckoned to be one of Europe’s youngest knife-throwers who swaps his school uniform for his cowboy clothes to practice.
Edward is the 11th generation of his family to perform and his uncle has passed on the whip cracking, rope spinning and knife throwing skills which make up his act. The human target is his mum, Erika, who is still slightly nervous before every show!
The show also features an international cast of circus performers including a magician, clowns, jugglers, dancers, roller skaters and aerial artistes.
Shows are at 6pm today and Friday, 2pm and 5pm on Saturday and 2pm on Sunday. Call 0757 808 3755 or visit www.pinderscircus.co.uk
