Youth cricket: Old Dalby U15s wrap up Frisby win

Old Dalby Under 15s picked up another good win at Frisby, Hoby and Rotherby.

Batting first on a difficult wicket, the visitors began steadily with Angus Wilbourn (21), Innes Yates (9), Alfie Greaves (25) and Harry Towne (24) keeping the score ticking along as Dalby posted 108-6.

In reply, Frisby never really got going against tight bowling from Wilbourn and Ben Carr.

This was backed up by Towne and Ben Wells, with a wicket apiece for Carr, Towne and Wells.

With Frisby struggling to get near the target, Dalby took the chance to bowl the youngsters who performed brilliantly. Fraser Morley took his first wicket, and Callum Purcell also struck, while there were more great overs from Quinn Brittain and Joe Knott.

An excellent run-out from Knott and two great catches from Alec Purcell restricted Frisby to 80-6.
