Twenty20 cricket returns to Egerton Park CC next week as the Salaman Cup begins its annual Friday evening residence at the Melton club.

This year’s competition gets under way on Friday, June 3 when Old Dalby open the competition against Oakham.

The hosts and cup holders Egerton Park will open their defence against Bottesford on June 10 before Thorpe Arnold clash with town rivals Melton Mowbray a week later.

2014 winners Belvoir take on prolific past winners Tilton in the last of the quarter-finals on June 24.

The semi-finals follow on Fridays July 1 and 8, and the winners will meet in the final on Friday, July 15.
