SOUTH LEICESTER 16 MELTON RFC UNDER 8s 17

MELTON Under 8s were back in action away to South Leicester after a very good performance in the Coalville festival.

The weather conditions on Sunday morning bordered on wintry, but this didn’t hamper the youngsters’ enthusiasm for playing rugby.

The team has started to settle and play together well, producing some fantastic attacking rugby with support play throughout the team.

The defence was fantastic and committed and all 15 players got involved.

Next week the under 8s are in action again at home to Leicester Forest East with a 10.30am start.

MELTON RFC UNDER 7s 37 SOUTH LEICESTER 33

MELTON Under 7s braved the weather to pull off a terrific victory against South Leicester.

The opposition had many more players to choose from and regularly changed their line-up, but Melton carried on regardless, working extremely well together to secure the win.

Melton: Will, Dominic, Max, Freddie, Ben, Ryan, Joe, George.

l Melton U7s are always looking for more players. The team has great fun and any child from the age of four onwards can take part.
