Melton RFC gears up for season with Try Rugby Day

Many new faces came along to join Melton Mowbray RFC's annual Try Rugby Day earlier this month.

With the season just a few weeks away, the club’s junior ranks were on the lookout for fresh talent ahead of registration day.

The skills covered ranged from non-contact tagging drills through to kicking and passing, but the most popular game of the day was tackling.

All activities were supervised by Melton RFC’s fully qualified coaches.

As in previous years there were several rugby-based activities followed by free food for all participants. Additional activities included face painting and a bouncy castle.

Registration day takes place at the club’s Burton Road HQ from 10.30am on Sunday, September 4 - everyone welcome.
