Melton boxer called up as reserve for Prizefighter III

PAUL Butlin could be set for a return to the small screen after he was named as a reserve for Prizefighter International Heavyweights III.

Butlin featured in the first-ever Prizefighter competition in 2009 and will climb into the ring at York Hall in Bethnal Green if one of the scheduled starters is forced to withdraw.

The event, to be staged on Saturday, February 23, will be screened live by Sky Sports and uses a knockout tournament format with quarter-finals, semi-finals and a final all on one evening.

This year’s line-up features former Olympic champion Audley Harrison and 2009 winner Martin Rogan.
