A total of 330 horses came from all over England and Wales to Garthorpe to compete at a popular fixture in the equestrian calendar.

The Belvoir Team Chase and Hunter Trial took place on Sunday with going at the racecourse near-perfect.

Take-offs and landings were meticulously prepared by the course preparation team and last Saturday’s deluges were the icing on the cake.

There were five different classes during the day, two Hunter Trial and three Team Chase classes, and the event again provided good entertainment.

Most of the nation’s open teams took part and used the Intermediate class as a warm-up for the approaching qualifying events in the weeks ahead.
