Melton Summer Pool League: Trebles galore in second round of matches

Rob Jack and Jon Webb both bagged trebles as Monkey Magic conquered the Conkerers 8-1 in Melton Summer Pool League Division One.

Craig Newbold also grabbed a treble as Arr Boy beat the Duke 8-1, and Chalk is Cheap made it two wins from two as they beat Timmy’s Stick 6-3.

We Don’t Play There Anymore got their first of the season, beating Thunders 6-3, and The Welby continued their winless run, losing 5-4 to the Fulderiks.

* In Division Two, Red Hot Chilli Potters made up for last week’s loss with an 8-1 demolition of Janet Noels Best.

Paul Jepson’s hat-trick helped the Swanderers to a 6-3 victory over Polish Club SL15 to go joint top with Pop Ya Cherry who mirrored the Swanderers with a 6-3 win over Olly’s Army thanks to Scott Corbett’s treble.

Armee Pere made it two wins out of two as Eaton YM were beaten 5-4.

* Dan Osborne and Tom Platkiw each grabbed a hat-trick as Notorious TIB beat Crazy Gang 7-2 in Division Three.

Young Guns also ran out 7-2 winners against Phoenix Knights Youth, Kev Hewitt getting a hat-trick, while a treble from Stevo Brown put the cherry on top of the Pool Boyz’ 7-2 win over You Shall Not Pot.

Half Cut came out 7-2 winners over I Smell A Re-Rack, Alan Davies racking up a treble, but despite Mark Griffiths’ hat-trick, Welby Wanderers still lost out 5-4 against Rock Out With Your Chalk Out.

* In Division Four, Del Burroughs got a hat-trick as MSC Elite beat The Generous Amigos of Briton, 7-2.

Beedie’s Bitches beat We Are Solids Right? 5-4 in the deciding frame with John Beedie earning the win and a hat-trick. Noels 365 (formerly Noels Cuckoos) managed a 5-4 win over the Con Merchants, and Legion B needed the deciding frame to pip See You Next Tuesday 5-4.

* In Division Five, Scott Hughes and Terry Clowes came out with a hat-trick apiece in Cue Up’s 7-2 win over Gamblers Anonymous.

George and Steve Ingall also helped themselves to hat-tricks as Ingall’s Idiots beat Chalk My Tip 7-2, and Taylor Braithwaite nabbed a treble in O.D.T.H.A.P.P’s win over Crown Jewels.

Anything But Straight came from 4-1 down to beat Cue Chaos 5-4.
